Robin Hood Movies

I\'ve noticed that Robin Hood movies tend to focus on 1 relationship, and each movie chooses a different relationship. For example:

Robin Prince of Thieves: Robin & Marion
Adventures of Robin Hood: Robin and Sir. Guy.
Robin Hood: Robin and Little John.

Feel free to add more.

Worse than that - since when did Robin Hood use a recurve bow?

Probably \'cause the actor playing him was too wimpy to pull a long bow.

Anyone notice the subtle political messages in tonights episode? \"There are camps in the Holy Land that teach men to hate thier own country\" \"We can hold them without trial and execute them without trial\".

Hmm. Whatever could they mean?

Not to mention that a 5mm thick piece of wood can apparently stop an arrow at point blank range or that the sheriff knows that a device that wont be invented for hundreds of year makes a \"tick-tock\" sound. :flame:

It\'s definitely a bit crap but it\'s also uncomplicated and light hearted viewing. I quite enjoyed it to be honest. I like Keith Allen as the Sheriff. Having said that, I tend to like Keith Allen in most things (apart from football songs). I\'m sure my son will insist on me watching it with him next week too... (ahem) :innocent:.

All you people harping on the \"clean teeth\" thing - don\'t forget that Robin and his men didnt spend all day cramming jelly beans and Coke into their mouths the way modern folks do. Without a diet of refined sugar, teeth likely fared much better back then. Though I imagine most people would be missing a few anyway :)

RUBBISH!!!

I can only echo most of the comments here - not impressed at all with the series. Bring back Michael Praed as Robin - at least he was a nice piece of eye candy :p

I\'d say those thieves who stole the original footage must have seen a sneak preview and were trying to do us a favour

Yeah I seen it the other day, what a load of crap!
I did admire little john for nailing fish to his wifes door though. It gave me a great idea

There\'s been a lot of talk about Michael Praed but no-one seems to mention the magical way they replaced him with Jason Connery (who\'s father also played Robin Hood as well as King Richard in the Costner version). Robin went missing for a bit then came back with blond hair, a new face and convinced everyone he was the same person by shooting an arrow (obviously a bit before DNA testing was an option). For some reason I don\'t think the show was taken seriously after that.

Yes Jason Connery\'s attempt was crap too lol but Michael praed was good I thought :D Especially as girls would say I looked like him (I didnt though) But god was I busy pleasing them:D

Tick tock.....

Apparently in the last episode the Sherrif of Nottingham was heard to say \"tick tock\" to the villagers whilst waiting impatiently for Robin to turn himself in. He was only 200 years early with that sound.... maybe he could see into the future ???
