Rocks?

Hey Everyone,

Where is a good place to look for different kinds of rocks and stone to use in basing? I was given a set of some basing stuff by the Queen of Credits and she had all sorts of goodies in there and I wanted to get some more rocks . . . I know it sounds like an odd question. And I don\'t have many rocks in my yard that are useable--hence why I\'m asking where I can get some.

Got a HOME DEPOT nearby?
IF so try looking in their Gardening under Slate materials.
You may end up with a lot more than you need but if its too big a Lump Hammer will reduce the size nicely...Wear eye goggles and keep the nosey puppies out of the way.

Odd as it sounds i use tree bark. If you look in your local park or woods for trees that are shedding bark, the bits that fall off make awsome rocks...its light and takes the paint really well and its textured quite well too.

try the local pet shop they can do some interestin stuff for fish tanks etc

I went to a landscaping center and told them I needed slate chips for a small garden. They gave me a heavy sack and a shovel and said go fill it. About 45-60 pounds cost me $8.00

Also every time you out shopping, keep a can or a box in your car. if you see landscaping in the traffic islands in parking lots don\'t be afraid of helping yourself to a handful of rocks or wood/bark chips.
