Rogan\'s birthday Guard WIP - conversions completed

Hi there!

What I\'ll be working on for the next few weeks is a birthday present for a friend of mine.

The basic idea was to convert a couple of Imperial Guard soldiers to become the command group for his IG army. This includes a commissar-style Captain, a few specialists - including a \"last stand\"-guy - and some sort of a \"trainee enginseer\", maybe with a small servoarm fit to his armour. I\'m not sure about if I\'ll make a standard bearer as well, nor am I sure about a heavy weapons team, but I do want to give them all the look of a
hardened veterans squad. Sketches are going to follow, likewise will the WIP pics.

Besides, I have decided which guys I\'ll be working on during the waiting time. A autocannon, mounted on a small cart, that trainee enginseer, the last-stand-guy and a medic!
Stay tuned... sort of ^^

Oh boy. Bad pix - my apologies for that.

Aye, This weekend was rather successful.
I managed to lengthen the captain\'s jacket, to make it look more like a commissar\'s cloak.
His face was more or less totally converted to resemble my friend\'s. Finally, I added some extra armour to his wrist - as well as a cable around his waist.

As soon as the new bitz I ordered come in, he\'ll get his second arm and a small backpack, working as the power source for his refractor field which I sculpted the egale on his chest for.

Here comes the last stand guy...

As you might be able to see (or guess) I replaced the Cadian\'s forearms with a Catachan\'s, to show a desperate need for a steady hand. He\'s going to be the loader from the heavy weapons team. I filled the gaps with GS and tried to give him a rather natural pose.

Really like what you are doing here! I think the dynamic pose you have for the squatting chap is very good! Will be interested to see updates of this log! Oh, also the Captains hair and jacket is very good!

This little fellow is the almost finished (and highly anticipated ^^) trainee enginseer. Strapped around his left wrist is the connection to his servo arm and the exhaust on his back. Not sure if it is visible at all, but it is meant to be a controlling unit - even has a display modeled on it. The next step will be to join cable and tools by the use of some more green stuff.
Btw, the servo arm looks a little incomplete to my mind. Any suggestions, save for better photos? ;-)

Rest of the stuff will follow as soon as I start building it ^^

Just one last thing - adding a custom made priest WOULD be a nice idea, wouldn\'t it?

Autocannon almost done!

So... As promised the Autocannon. Of course, there\'s a little GS work I\'ve yet to do, and it\'s front shield is still missing, but you sure got the point what it\'s going to be like. Another few crappy pics:

I am really fond of that artillery piece! Nice work! I think it will look excellent when its painted up. The capo is coming along really well too ! Keep up the good work!

Okay, so here\'s the medic. I really am quite surprised how fast that went. oO

He\'s equipped with a few more pockets than the other fellows, for a medic needs space for his stuff. His medical equipment includes a bionic eye and a heck of a needle. The servo skull above his left shoulder is thought to be his little helper. The use of his gear should become more obvious when painted.

Got me there ^^
Of course I only posted pictures of such a minor quality to avoid being spotted - but since you DID get me - all hail the moldophilia!

Wahahahagah ^^

Jokes aside - I\'ll clean them as soon as I start to paint.
