Rogue Trader model conversions: Need suggestions!

I would greatly appreciate any help or suggestions from the CMON community on the subject of converting appropriate models for Rogue Trader RPG characters. I mostly work with GW bits and scale, but I have found thier product line to be very limited in this area. The only models they have that come close to "rogue trader-ish" are usually all one-piece medal models that do not lend themselves to even typical, simple conversions.

So, I'm hoping somebody out there has seen "this company", "that company", or "that dude that makes some stuff", that lends itself to this particular genre of modeling.

If you're familiar with the game, Im looking to model a Rogue Trader with powersword and plasma pistol, a Navigator whos mutated into having a worm body/legs (preferably sitting on a hover throne with lascannons on it [i know, its getting ridiculous]), and a huge literally 'hulking' (he got the hulking mutation) Arch Militant with a powerfist.

Thanks guys!

I take it that you are going with 'heroic 28mm'?

Take a look at the Imperial Guard 'advisers' (I think that is what they are called) blister. It has a couple of guys that should work for a Rouge Trader and an Astropath, that with a little cutting and some green stuff should start you in the right direction. Has for the Zealot, an Ogren (the Mordahem one?) The one problem with these is that they are metal.

as for plastics maybe the Empire wizards pack. You could make a interesting Trader from those parts. And if you bulked on of the figs out with some plastic card, a hulking Zealot/militant.

GW Plastic Ogre Kingdoms Ogres (box of 6 not 4) come with spiked glove arm options. An Ogre body stuffed onto a pair of space marine legs with some guitar string wire modding on the glove might provide a seriously hulked out Arch Militant.

The GW Lord Of THe Rings Golden King Of Harad is a bloke sat in a throne, cut his feet off & put on wormy bits. Glue on plastic guns, perhaps a backpack on the back of the chair, wires , lamps, etc. Stick on a flying base.

Cheers, B.
