Rough Coat troubles

Hello my fellow masters of the paint,

Rough Coat! Great stuff, but after a couple of uses it gets blocked up, and this has happened on my second can. Blast!

I do the usual cleaning methods after use such as turning it upside down and give a short burst. I\'ve checked the plastic nozzle and it\'s clear. But I\'ve found I\'m having trouble with the cans valve.

Anyone have the same problem or even a solution?

I have a solution.............bin it.

Trouble is Rough Coat is a textured paint intended for terrain building and it is suggested /expected that the can is used up in one fell swoop. Blocked nozzles/can valves come with the territory of textured paints.

I was wondering if that was the way. Makes sense.

No way to clear the valve thingy with acetone and an old brush?

Had A LOT of similar problems and have been forced to learn to remedy the problem. It\'s a bit of a hassle at first.....and there after but worth learning.

@@@@ ---The tip can be disassembled and cleaned.
@@@@ ---The small tube that inserts into the can has a TINY slot at the bottom running up the side from the bottom. Cleaning this can sometimes cure the problem.
@@@@ ---Also, cleaning out the hole in the can helps.
@@@@ ---When cleaning any part, get ALL the dust and chips out.
@@@@ ---Simply rotating the tip can help.
@@@@ ---As you press down to spray, rock the tip back and forth.

I\'ve actually thought of doing an article on this since it\'s been such a problem.
