Just in case anyone is interested we\'re running a painting competition over at the Platoon Britannica page. Entry is restricted to Brits only but anyone will be able to vote for their favourite entry. I\'m posting here because many members frequent CMoN too and I\'ve no doubt that most of the entries will show up on here sooner or later.

I\'ll sure be happy to vote when the contest closes though. In the meantime I\'ll be crying into my pillow every night singing the words to R.E.M.\'s \"Everybody Hurts\" trying to pretend that I\'m immune to the slings and arrows tossed my way inadvertently from clubs on stupid little Island countries that could fit into my beloved nation about 184 times over with leg room to spare.

OK, I know this exactly the right place, but there\'s PB members here and I need help.

Firstly, I am registered, and my username and password is correct. I get the screen that says \"thank you for logging in nightsword\" and then it redirects back to the page I was on, without being logged in. I cannot post or send PMs, so cannot ask for help on there lol. I\'ve tried clicking on \"if the browser does not redirect etc\" link, and clicking remember me, but it just won\'t stay logged in.

Any help would be appreciated, or if someone would volunteer to tell the mods for me?

Again, sorry for the off topic post, the competition sounds classy, and the prize is intriguing to say the least.

Maybe you\'ve been labelled \"Un-British\"?

Maybe you\'ve been caught saying \"Soccer\" once too often?

Maybe you think guiness tastes like devil piss and you prefer a long necked Molson?

Can\'t help you at all (But the server seems to be running fine over at WAMP by the waylol).

Also there is a prize for the entrant who finishes with the WORST entry as well, so how can you not win (Once you`ve been determined to be sutiable British using the \"Snootiness\" monitor) so how can you complain?

...aside from the tea, the language, the founding of our nation, and so on...(a la The Life of Brian)...

seriously, i\'m gonna have to start a mexican paintin\' club...
all the minis will be posed in siesta modelol...
the prizes will all be hidden in pinatas!!!

Due to a general lack of stiff upper-lippedness from certain parties we are hereby adding another category to our competition entitled \"Johnny Foreigner.\" It\'s only open to non-Brits but hopefully any entries should provide us all with a few laughs. Go and check it out in the thread linked to in the first post.

And um, cheers scott*jonny-foreigner*radom. If you keep this Brit bashing up, I\'m afraid I might just send you a strongly worded letter, to which I\'ll have to queue down at the post office to send you, which is good because then I have something to moan about too.

Sorry, Alvar Lidell died in 1981. (Although he was born in the UK) ...I\'m trusting wikipedia here, so he might actually be galactic emperor by now.

I might manage an entry for this myself, but really aren\'t sure what I have to paint. I don\'t really want to add to the pile o\'lead.
