Hey all

Thought it would be good to get my own WIP thread up and running and hopefully tap into all of you guys for tips and suggestions for improvements along the way.

To avoid me having nothing to show now I will add my most recent mini and the first I added to CMON.

My next project is a model I am painting up for a good friend of mine, this years Games day mini-blood angels captain.
Just finished priming the main model and back pack

Well that's a characterful piece, I love the pig and the pose. For me, the piece feels a little too 'clean' - maybe add some mud to the pig's feet and some stains on the orc's(?) vest. Also, if you follow some of the advice the BloodASmedium gave EpicMiniArt with regards to painting orc flesh (http://www.coolminiornot.com/forums/showthread.php?59330-Ork-WIP) I think it could really step the piece up a couple of notches.

As for your other models, I love the way you paint red - looks really rich!

Lenny looks really familiar to me. Do you have a wip thread on wyrd also? Your stuff is very nice, neat, and cleanly painted I like it a lot. You should post your other gremlins also, they look good.

I paint my thumb.
Like him, love the pig ya really nailed the color, pants could use more variation and more desaturated hl, their shiny plastic pants atm instead of jean or fabric. It would also look a lot better on a dark bg i think.

Hey all

I'm after a bit of advice with the this mini that I'm working on please.
What I'm after is suggestions on a spot colour to use alongside this yellow scheme that I'm working on.

The cloth that is underneath the bow arm, is where the colour will be, plus anywhere else I could add it in too?

Thanks for the input, I will try taking the highlights a bit brighter.
Do you think the shade is deep enough?

Maybe I ought to paint the belt a darker colour to break the yellow up a little too?

Very nice painting and very smooth blending. Nice skincolour, one of the best I've seen. Can you tell me what colours you've used? Many thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Gino(2dope)
