Oh deary me. England lacked power, ideas, pace, ambition. Only Jason Robinson looked like he may do something but he got injured.

Our local betting shop the TAB will let you bet on the Portuguese but only with a 115 point head start.
The problem is we don\'t have a single tough match until the knock out rounds.

I think Soth Africa played badly. I expected them to beat us by at least 45 points. lol

Well, I caught the second halves of both of today\'s games so far. Wales played pretty well in the second half, with some skill and pace. If only they could play like that for the first half of their games as well they might do well.
Although Portugal got badly beat (although not as much as the bookies in NZ seem to have thought), they did play with enthusiasm, determination and with some variety. The problem for them is that they were just outclassed in every department. They were overpowered and out-paced. Still, if England could have their attitude, with the players they have (which isn\'t as good a team as it was, but the players are stull good), they may have actually impressed, if only a little. As it is they are one dimensional and that dimension is failing.

Portugal have some decent players, the outside half and the winger (14). Their endeavour was superb and on a handicap, they won! Betting-wise lol
It\'s weird with Wales. Before the last two matches we haven\'t done anything in a second half for 16 months. Suddenly we see two efforts that were commendable. Saying that, Aus are just a better team. The proof was there for all to see. Wales need consistency - we ain\'t got none!

I checked out the score on ceefax. I was scratching my head at that scoreline. The northern hemisphere teams are all struggling.

I watched the Ireland-Georgia game with my irish mate who sweated like the proverbial. The last 15 minutes the Irish were under the pump and the Georgians just couldnt crack them. Easily my most exciting game so far!
NZ beat portugal, but i was pleased Portugal got a try. The Portugese props were about as big as Jerry Collins\' leg. But their attitude was really something to behold.

NZ are 3 times better than Italy by my reckoning. The scorelines between NZ, Portugal and Italy suggest this. My maths cannot be challenged!

I can honestly see England losing to both Samoa and Tonga. But maybe i\'m just being a tad negative?
I think England will really need to pull something out of the bag to beat Samoa. Reckon it will be close but Samoa will squeak it.
France Ireland could be good, I just want to see Chabal ruin everyone.

Well there have been a few changes to the England lineup. Hopefully that also means a different way of playing. It all depends on how much Samoa want it. They\'ve lost both matches so far and don\'t look like they\'ll qualify. They may just go for bashing a few heads together and not be disciplined enough in defence. On the other hand it could be like Hugh Dennis said on Mock the Week. Tnoight it\'s England vs Samoa, a team of rank amateurs vs ...Samoa.
We\'ll beat Samoa but I doubt it will be anything other than close.
I honestly don\'t know what\'s happened to the Northern Hemisphere sides. I truly believe England have the players but can\'t string eighty minutes together; Wales had a cracking team two years ago and Ireland really should have been performing a lot better. Even the French although on home soil, have been shaky (but that\'s \'Les Bleus\' all over sometimes)

Well, Ireland were pretty much pants against France. The odd moment of quality but giving away too many penalties. France certainly looked better than they did against Argentina but not enough to see them progressing beyong the quarters really.
