Well who\'da thunk it eh?

Whether they win or not now, they\'ve done us proud. Still, some SA payback in the final would be the icing on the cake.... :D

Although beating the Argies is always worth a laugh......:)

Really enjoyed watching that game. Was in a random pub in Earls court and the atmosphere was excellent.

Thought both sides played badly but we kept ourselves in contention and left ourselves in the position to capitalise on the late penalty and the drop goal opportunity.

Really looking forward to the SA Argentina game tonight.

It wasn\'t pretty it wasn\'t clean cut but my god it was still good. I loved every second of it even if my nerves didn\'t bring on South Africa!!!!!!!

I didn\'t manage to watch the whole game. From the comments when the Argentine player got sin-binned, it sounds as though they didn\'t play all that well.

Bit of a weird game, Argentina started really well and had most of the territory etc but kept making mistakes and South Africa just jumped all over them.

Shame it ended on a slightly sour note, SA did play some great rugby and Montgomerys\' kicking is ridiculous.

I think England have a very tough final ahead of them. Anyone know any South African pubs in Sheffield I can watch the game in?! lol

It won\'t be the final, but you\'ll get to see that on th 19th. Looking forward to it.

Pity about the discipline towards the end, there was absolutely no need for it. Argentina like to kick, they get the ball, then don\'t seem to know what to do with it!

England may have a very tough final ahead of them, but one thing I\'m sure of: they\'re not going to allow SA to trounce them like before. Whatever the outcome of the final, SA vs. England, it\'s gonna be a hoot! Cheer, cheer, wot!

Really looking forward to the Final now! England v SA is my perfect situation really as I backed SA to win outright ages ago... £75.00 @ 10-1, so I can\'t lose really - although I\'d swap the winnings for an England win anyday!:drunk:

I wasn\'t well, so missed most of the England match, but I have to say I\'ll be supporting the fellas in the final against the Boks. Managed to watch the SA v Argies match on my sofa on Sunday and I think the Argies let themselves down by playing into SA\'s hands. They gave them tries on a plate and undid a lot of very good work in other areas of the match. There was a stat in about the 50th minute that read the ball had been kicked over 60 times. What the hell\'s happening to the game? It\'s becoming headless. Wales were doing it under Jenkins and it drives me up the bloody wall. Still, I\'ve seen some true grit this tournament and some proper old-fashioned grunt.

I can\'t imagine the circumstances (except for hard cash :D) where I\'d be cheering for SA (or Aus or NZ) if the opponents were from Wales, Scotland or Ireland... in fact any of the six nations teams... Gotta cheer for NH rugby in my opinion

Once in a while, the petty differences are set aside. Never confuse sports with politics (though there is an argument that they are linked). World Cup year and Lions tours are the times I put aside my childish but heartfelt dislike of other NH rugby teams in an orgy of grudging solidarity :D

Well I lost my out on my little pre-tourney wager on France. When the game started out I was torn as to which result I was after. Finances are particularly tight right now and it would have been a bonus, but by the last few minutes I was biting nails and most definately rooting for an England win.

75 at 10-1 though, that\'s a tasty little haul you\'ll make there. If I had that much on the line I\'d be seriously struggling to root for my own country!

What a game. Was loving Argentina spanking the French.
Argentina seemed to absorb a lot of pressure in the first half but came out on top and I felt the second half was all about the Puma\'s!

Shame about all the fighting but in some ways it was to be expected. Kind of reminded me of the old 5 nations games England v France where it would always kick off.

Had minor apoplexy when the TV listings on Virgin said it was the final, but all was ok in the end

It seems France couldn\'t seem to win on their home ground this world cup. Argentina deserve to be a part of an annual competition. Maybe the tri-nations could become the quad nations.
