anyone else playing it? with 30 square km of map, randomly generated missions, crazy weather and a proper day/night cycle, it\'s a helluva game. survived my first night yeterday, although i was attacked by a pack of blind dogs, some mental boars and a load of bandits. a big storm so the lightning helped me see things.


it\'s a little awkward to get into but i think i have just kissed all the spare time i have for the next month goodbye!!

so anyone else playing/tempted?

i\'ve got it on pc. it\'s pretty ooge. it pays to explore too, loads of artefacts you can find and sell off to buy more ammo (or search the corpses at the den of some dogs/boars etc

REad a good review of it, but your review seems more realistic to me....

so dar, i would reccomend it. watch out for the anomalies though - they\'ll kill ya quick. the ai is pretty good though - dogs will atack if there are enough, but kill a few and they\'ll run away. also groups of enemies work in teams and try to outflank you

Sounds like Condemned with the AI, meth addicted druggy\'s would attack in groups but if you kill one, the others will back off a bit and be more cautious.

all the dates and history as well as the alternate history is in the book that tells you the background but i will not lie for one second and say it\'s deliberate timing!!

I read a good review too - mentioned things like how the weapons cleverly deteriorate over time, and dogs will only attack if they\'re hungry. Apparently it took them 7 years to make it - it looks pretty awe-inspiring! :wow:

It sounds like exactly the sort of game that appeals to me, as it\'s driven by intelligent coding and AI (Like Halo) rather than an exciting but totally linear string of events (Like COD) to make a really groovy single player experience that will keep surprising you.

Shame my PC has pants 3D capabilities.

this is where i luck out - just bought a brand new custom desktop. great graphics and 2gig o ram. with everything attop quality it runs through the game no probs! as some of the missions you do are plot based but a lot are random, you won\'t play the game the same way twice. weapon deterioration is a pain, never had to clear a jammed ak before in a game (and it happens at the worse moment!). should sold him off and nicked another!!
