Saberhagen RIP

Apparently Fred Saberhagen, author of the Berserker series among others, has passed away.

The truely bizarre part of this is that Wikipedia does not think that Harlen Ellison is well known enough to post the info on Wiki

I\'m not surprised. Is the Harlan Elison website where you get most of your news?
What surprises me is that he passed on 6/29 and there wasn\'t a more credible news story on it.

What a shame. I spent a lot of time in the berserker series. Ogre/GEV (Steve Jackson micro games) was based on the Berserker.

It is sad that he was given virtually no media coverage about his death. He was a huge influance on both the sci-fi and fantasy genre over his 40 year writing span. Now i have the urge to go pick up his book of swords series again.

Wikipedia has it now.
Funny, his is a name I have often come across, but looking over the wiki bibliography I can\'t say I\'ve ever actually read anything by him. (though I may have read a short story published elsewhere).
