Sabretooth tigers

I am working up a conversion involving the Harbinger of the North miniature, and need a suitably large sabretooth cat. I have seen a couple, but am unsure of their size. The Harbinger is a large figure (40mm I think) so the cat has to be big. I am not sure the Reaper one would be big enough. 100 Kingdoms has one they call a giant sabretooth that is supposed to be equivalent to 6 feet high at the shoulder, so that could work. Anyone seen/have this figure to know how big it is? Or know of any other large sabretooth cat miniatures?

Hmm, what about the new Ogre kingdoms one Gw has ? That and that one I-kore one are the only ones I remember.

GW has some for the Ogre Kingdoms Hunter. You can probably get one separately. There\'s also one from Rackham that comes with the Fianna Queen. I don\'t know if you can get it without the queen, but I think they sell separate parts on their official store. The Rackham cat is very beautiful. The Rackham minis are roughly 32 mm scale, so it might be a bit small, though. That is probably the case with the GW ones as well.

The GW ones are those with the the teeth coming from the bottom? Hmmm.. not sure I like them, but could be something out of the ordinary at least. Forgot the Rackham cat, that could work.

That one is my favorite sabertooth. I am assuming you have the Grenadier one with the Conan clone sitting on his back. I have that one too.
I have a thing for Wooly Mammoths and Sabertooth Tigers...(not to mention Ogres, Orcs, Giants, Minotaurs, warriors...etc etc. etc..)

I have a Grenadier tiger from 1987 but without any Conan.Really realistic tho perhaps too small but definitly the best around,not these cartoonty beasts

I have both the one from I-Kore and the one from Iron Kingdoms, and the one from Iron Kingdoms is bigger and probably suitable. Unfortunately, my minis are in CA and I am in NY, so I can\'t just send you mine to play with (If I even knew which box it was in!).

Thanks for the responses everyone! I started working on the barbarian and decided against the cat after all; I think he will look prretty imposing as it is

Supervike and PF, I was looking at the Grenadier one in my display area and thought it might work, especailly since it has that chain leash that would have saved me some sculpting time. Perhaps in another conversion!

Katie - do you think the 100 Kingdoms one would be big enough for a human rider?

I think so, as long as its not the 40mm Harbinger. Should fit for the Reaper line though which is smaller... more like 32mm. At least that is my best guess
