I think the banner needs a bit more work. Clean up some lines and make some of the writting standout a bit better. And the claws look like they need some more shading. Apart from that its a great job. really love the base.

I like the dark, gritty look. The claw placement is nice. Could you give a little description on how you prepared the base?

I was surprised by the first picture, insomuch as I\'ve never seen half a model so done before the other half was started.

The base was started by putting sand on. schorched brown drybrushed snake bite drybrushed bleached bone. I then painted part of the sand black, then codex, then fotress. Then I added some slate and a piece of cork painted in the same way as the grey sand. I then added patches of static grass with super glu to the base.

Well it\'s up on CMON now, with a score of 5.2, 1.7 less than without the base, WTF? Anyway, Votes and comments would be nice.

I love it.. the only thing I find fault with is the banner.. it seems unfinnished compared to the rest of the mini

Okay here goes. This is why i think your score is not what you expected. Like others have said your banner looks unfinished. Also your metals could do with a little more work they seam too dark and patchy. Your armour looks good but one more stage of highlights (ultramarine blue with space wolves grey) would help make it pop. I can\'t tell from the pic but is the recess of your armour black? if so i would black line it with black/regal blue and this wouldn\'t make it so dark and help blend in with your lighter blues....could be the pic though. Happy painting ;)
