Hi all,
This is my latest mini which i painted which i painted on \'holiday\'.
I had a lot of fun painting this sculpt, i\'ve always wanted to paint one and i thought it was about time i got round to it.
As usual i went for a nmm style with some nice rich colours and a spot of freehand to finish.
Check out the link to vote please, any questions or comments would be welcome!
Cheers all! Daz

funk me!!!

you\'ve definitely blurred the line between nmm and metallics here, mate...
simply brilliant all around...
the cape, the base, the cherubs, and celestine, all spot on...

keep it up...
it\'s always nice to see the minis done outside of the studio\'s restrictions...

cheers

It\'s so beautiful that I thought it was advertising artwork for the mini at first!

Would love to know how you achieved those metallics!

Great work as always mate. Personally i like the red cape the most, the NMM has become standard to your work and im not sure if you could make it look any better.

What i would like to see is a model you paint in a completely different style to what we are sued to seeing from you.

A razza realistic, battle damaged dude or summat like that.

Top notch as always.

Spectacular. The armor is eye-catching but to me the cloth parts steal the show. Tricky colors to get right, absolutely realistic outcome and amazing attention to detail.

Cheers!

Simple but effective color scheme, beautiful freehand that doesn\'t take unnecessary attention away from the rest of the model, and of course the flawless blends we have all come to expect from you Daz.

I\'m finally getting around to a serious NMM attempt after years of avoiding it (I rarely find models that I think it would really look good on) and I can only hope to achieve a fraction of the quality of your gold blends. You\'ll definitely get an assist if I take home any more hardware from GD Canada. I\'ve got a lot of reference materials to work from now :D

Wow... sick.

The Fleur de lys on the bottom of the skirt and the base are amazing. The purity on the curl of that sash she\'s mounted on is jaw-dropping.

Another fantastic piece. My favourite part of this is probably the face. I think you managed to get a really nice skintone going and seeing from some other attempts it\'s not the easiest face to paint, eyes closed and all. Supersharp work as always.

as has been said, amazing work but.....

you stole my ideas :cussing::cussing:

now nobody will believe me when i said it was my own idea to paint Celestine in nmm:cry:
or to cut away that annoying rubble base:cry:
or to do a moderate freehand on the cloak:cry:
or have those flowers return on the base:cry:
:cry::cry:

seriously, great work, supersmooth blends.
great base, eye-catching yet not overdone or distracting. and those flowers really tie it in with the rest of the model

makes me want to get back to my own version.....
