Umm... Ya.. Im starting to paint a army for the golden demon tournament. And i wil be bringing my Salamanders. So far. Their base colour is orkhide shade over chaos black spray, then snot green. The eyes are golden yellow, while the highlights are goblin green, sunburst yellow, then a really thin layer of white.

Please i need suggestions.

im guessing GD rules say you can\'t show this prior to the event so those who cannot visualize this thing can see what you are talking about and what you are needing help with?

if you can\'t show the mini itself, how about some concept art/doodle thing that shows what you have and what you need help with?

as far as i know if you want to paint for a GD, from what i heard is paint by the codex, or \'Eavy Metal team.

sounds good so far for what you have there. are you going for \'EM scheme or a custom scheme?

I use :

Base - Dark Angels Green
Main - Snot Green
First HL - 50% Snot Green 50% Striking Scorpians Green
Final HL - Striking Scorpians Green

or

How about the Mega Old Salamanders Camouflage pattern

There is no Black Lining.

The dark areas are the Dark Angels green showing through.

Dark Angels green was the base colour I then painted many thin layers of Snot green on just leaving the Dark angels green in all the recesses.

For the black areas I use:

Basecoat - Chaos Black
First HL - Codex Grey
Final HL - 80% Codex Grey, 20% Skull White

Hi dont know if you still need it but, the way i did it for the Studio army was:-

black spray, orkhide shade, orkhide plus snot(leave orkhide in the recesses) snot

higlights:- snot plus scorpion, and then scorpion, finally add a little bleached.

hope it helps
