Kull or Keep is a variation of people watching whereby you decide who should be kulled and who you would keep :D

Whats so special about teh Romans?

Lets say 13:00 then... I thought someone mentioned show and tell with minis, I guess it\'d be easier if folks enter their stuff when they get there and then everyone meets at 1:00 when everyone\'s had a chance to spend all their money :)

I\'m easy, whatever works best!

I like the sound of that game.

Although the miserable moaning git that I am would mean everyone would be culled.

Squidders I\'ve seen GP\'s painting so I know how good he is :D I didn\'t know he had anything being put on the Warlords stand though.

Kull or Keep is one of the best versions of people watching I have come across, last year there was quite a few that I would have kept but then that might have had something to do with the marathon sign on that weekend as well...I kull all men that way is cuts down on the competition for the ladies and gives me a chance :D

Freebees at the event...

As part of my buy first, ask questions later policy, I usually end up with minis that are either going to cost £500+ to get painted or that I don\'t end up liking enough to spend money on.

So, I\'m bringing the following to the show to give away, if anyone wants one or two and happen to bump in to me, do let me know.

I\'ll be bringing my painted Reaper Clay Golem with me - it was a really nice mini to paint and I heartily recommend it (got me my first comp win over on ebay)

Great show... it was really good to catch up with people and fondle/lust after everyones minis and chat over a coffee.

I left just before winners were announced but i\'m fairly certain a few CMONers will be walking away with wins!

The highlights for me was chatting to Werner Klocke - such a nice guy! an d seeing Derek Schuberts painting of Raleah female elf - simply beautiful!

As usual, I spent more than I should but not as much as some, mentioning no names *cough*Martyn*cough* lol

Cheers for a great day all those who I met and the warlords for hosting someting so close to my house :D

Jeez... next time we all have a meet up we seriously need to all think about wearing carnations or something :)

I am guessing, even though I\'m sure this thread said everyone was meeting at Costa Coffee at 1:00, the meeting happened somewhere else... six of us sat/stood there waiting for folks to show up but, unfortunately, not knowing anyone to look at, we didn\'t manage to hook up with the rest of the folks there... which was a pitty!

But the show was indeed amazing...

The organisers were (as predicted) somewhat taken by surprise with the increase in quality and quantity of painting comp entries this year :)

The guy who I spoke to said they had a 300% increase on last year and almost ran out of cabinet space.

The standard was also absolutely stunning, there was some jaw dropping stuff there... IMHO above GD quality in a lot of cases.

The sword winning mini (sorry forgot the guys name already) was a Libby on a tiger, on a scenic base with a river with fish in it... it was unbelievable :)

I for one came away wishing there were more \'non manufacturer specific\' painting comps in the UK :-(

But a great day... I\'m totally knackered now, and as Squidders said... we are all lighter in the wallet :)

Amazing standard in the painting comp, I only entered one piece and didn\'t place but I was not surprised at all as the amount of quality pieces was just unbelievable.
I did put three pieces in the Madpuppet cabinet though which Edgar seemed pleased with, Jigsaw Man, Goblin Beserker and Bonecrusher were the three.
I completely forgot about the meetup as I was too busy drooling over all the lovely products and deciding where best to spend the pennies I had available.
I am already planning to go to next years event as this years was a blast.
