Salute

You too eh. Am down in Abbeywood myself. Nifty for the DLR extension to Woolwich. Rather a bereft area for the hobby, HE doesn't even have much of a presence, could do with branch in Greenwich borough.

Are you a gamer much or just a painter? PM me if interested in either as theres a little group of us.

Back on topic! Not sure my individual scifi entry will be ready intime - hernia inducing last minute preps!

PEACHY, just Peachy! My bloody mobile SIM card just packed up two days before Salute.
So anyone with my mobile number wanting to contact me SORRY, it's deader than Chinese Shredded Duck with Plum Sauce!

Oh joy instead of finishing off my painting today I'm going to be dealing with Virgin, getting the card replaced. (Ah well fixed smile going into place, think happy thoughts Michael, Happy Thoughts!)

Pictish Mini Painting

I'm actually a man!
Hope its a good one folks, not able to go to this as had my surgery and nowt painted, living in the vain hope there is a GD this year, if not its next year and I just take my painted stuff I am doing from this year :)

Hopefully attend these events and find CMON peeps rather than GD where I get the group bus down.

I'm all set! I finished making a label for Chee-Chee's plinth last night and I've sorted out the transport arrangements for my minis. Now I just have to sit tight stay calm (never gonna happen) and resist the urge to go back over my minis in an effort to make them better.:tremble:

.
Well I hope you are feeling better and get the painting back on track, but from what I've been hearing IF there is a GD, shops have been told NOT to arrange any coaches, so it's down to the individual to get wherever it'll be.

@dragonsreach I imagine the coach issue is due to the fact most stores are now one man stores and would have to close the stores to man the coaches. Though from what I've seen of it I'm glad I missed last years.

Yeah I can imagine that's the case, I got in early with the manager due to needing the loo and not fancying queing for 4 hours with no access to a toilet.

Now had surgery its easier, will get down to Brum on my own, and probably stay overnight and have a leisurely day on the Sunday :)

Possible CMON meetup I may actually get to attend this time.

Got a dose of museum feet. You know the thing, a short shuffle, standing, short shuffle, standing, kills the lower legs and feet. First World problem right there eh. :)
Ballsed up on entering a couple of minis. Didn't consider the bases. A snarky side of me is pondering a plinth on a plinth entry for next time but really I doubt moderately painted minis on plinths go further than decently painted minis on regulation bases and should just get with the program and support the mini with a more complimentary base. Entering was more about being a goal to overcome than anything resulting from it, so that being done was a useful landmark.
Gonna have to share facial pics before the event on next years thread though. Second year in a row I ain't chatted with any fellow cmoners, not having a scooby what you buggers look like.
Lush things of note this year include the Brindie stuff, and expectations for that with an Infamy Kickstarter are exciting. The Prodos stand had some amazing examples of the Aliens V Predator minis, 's'gonna make me go in and change my pledge amounts on their KS I think.

Its a Mierce Miniatures Piece. A bit too coiled for me preferred the concept art although you cant complain if you got him for £40 at kickstarter.
