San Francisco minipainter group?

I\'m in San Francisco and looking for a group of painting geeks that meets on a semi-regular basis. Right now I\'m the only person I know who paints and it\'s kinda pathetic to be painting these and throwing them in a box never to be seen by anyone. And getting some tips in person would be cool. :)

Any Bay Area nerds out there?

Sorry dude. I\'m a long way off.
Don\'t be throwing your minis in a box!! Get yourself a nice display cabinet or sell them on ebay. At least if you sell them someone else can enjoy the work you have done....plus you get some cash :)
Or the obvious thing would be to post them here on Cmon ;)

We had a centralized location in Fremont, but since that store closed its doors, we alternate between Oakland and Campbell.

Well, let me ask this then, are there any \"Cons\" in the Bay Area to speak of? I\'m in Sacto and as antisocial as I am, if there was a gathering of people of any size, I would be down to visit.

Just wondering if we had anything like that up here. I know of GenCon SoCal and LA Games Day of course, but haven\'t really heard too much about anything more \"northwards\".

Oh, and EricJ, is Rosy Mcann\'s (sp) still around in SC? Was a great place to get a buzz on when I used to visit from Monterey.

Kublacon is one that has the most miniatures I think...although not that many, there is also a more comic focused con as well I believe. (not that I\'ve ever gone to any, just heard)

It just happened a couple months ago however...

Rosey\'s is definately still here, in fact I just had dinner and drinks there with friends about 3 hours ago :)

There are three general gaming cons:
http://www.kublacon.com/
http://www.dundracon.com/
http://www.con-quest.com/avindex.html

There\'s a Conquest SF and Sac.

There\'s also a historical convention:

Wondercon doens\'t have much to do with gaming afaik:
http://www.comic-con.org/wc/

I think that\'s it.

I wish CMON had existed when I lived in San Jose. I could have met all you people.

I never went to any con\'s while there (come to think of it, I still haven\'t gone to any) but if you like Science Fiction you should go to BayCon
*homer simpson voice* mmmm baaycon glll.
