New resin diorama piece from Hasslefree sculpted by Simon Harris.
The detail on this piece is unbelievable.

Quality piece, Mark! :flip:

I like everything about it! I like the little garden that any Hobbit would arrange even in a trench like this... :D Awesome!

Rev....they are cracking little figures and I cant wait for the range to expand.

Anders....the greenery is brass etched stuff I got at HF. The shrubs are ivy that I rolled up to roughen a bit and then thought looked pretty good for trimmed box shrubs.

Barbed wire is HF brass too. I asked Sally to get the barbed wire in silver to make it easier to paint.

EDIT Forgot to mention this will be in the HF cabinet at Salute. Along with dozens of other figures by me.;)

That\'s awesome, I really like it. Tons of details and things to look at. Everytime I look at it I see something new.

There was only a couple of things I noticed and I found a little distracting. First off it looks to me like he\'s about to pour whatever\'s in the thermos onto the ground. He\'s going to miss the cup. That might be because of the second thing I noticed and that is he is looking straight out into space. Perhaps if he was looking at the cup he\'d see he was going to miss it. I know I\'m being picky.

Did the vote thing, 10s all around.

Ah the flask is only half full see so at the 37.5 degree angle it is at the displacement of water to air ratio means the coffy will be held in the flask due to the miniscuss effect where by the co efficient of heat against area divided by the square sum of the hippopotamuse means it wont run out until the flask is over the cup.

Or he has just poured the last drop into the captains mug.:D

Oh he isnt looking into space, he has just seen Speckled Jim fly past.;)

Seriously though thanks for the replies.

Silly me. I guess I should have read the sign and saw it was coffy as opposed to coffee or even tea. I guess that makes the pose more acceptable.

Does the glint in his eye mean that he is indeed the Flanders pigeon murderer lol

The details is extraordinary. The guy that sculpted that must have taken an age. Nice paint job you have really captured the feel of the diorama. I love it. Did the vote thing.

it\'s a bizarre idea, but I love it! I suppose it\'s relevent to lord of the rings, in a way - the close bond of friendship between frodo and sam was meant to have been inspired by tolkien\'s experiences of the mateship between soldiers in WW1. So you could view this as a tribute to that idea. Or you could just see it as proof that I\'m too much of a LOTR geek...

great painting though! such attention to details.

Thats awesome, but soooooooo niche market its not funny. Who\'s gonna buy this? A bag end would sell like hot cakes, but I guess you run foul of IP then.
