rev, what the hell are you on about?!
SAP is a clunky old business system that covers all sorts of stuff from accountancy to HR, purchasing and all that jazz...
aye I've used Shat.......I mean SAP.
It's an accountancy system software.......last one I used still looked like the old DOS systems, not sure if they've improved much.
Big money if you can technically support it though.
We do scheduling work, diarising a lot of stuff, and we're using an interface for that called MRS. It was going to be the greatest thing ever according to the wizards who installed it (and it cost many, many millions bearing in mind I work for Dwr Cymru - Welsh Water). It turned out to be shite. We used to run off of a spreadsheet of whereabouts that we designed after changing companies (it's all very convoluted) and having the previous lot run away with our scheduling tool. In classic style, we were told by the company we were taken over by (before we were taken to its bosom by DCWW itself at a later date) that we would have a new tool in place when we came over on TUPE (contracts taken over etc). On that fateful day of the changeover we were left completely to our own devices with NO new system whatever, and thus devised our own very simple and highly efficient system. This was superceded by SAP when DCWW brought us into the fold (to save money) and we were told that the new stuff would see us throw away our old and basic (but efficient) system and have it replaced with a wonderful new tool. Well, tool is one way of explaining it, being a pile of cock as it is...
Work is much harder these days. We used to work hard and get through stuff once, but these days we just tread water

.
And Talion mate, there are more SAP specialists floating around this office on a daily basis than there are managers, and we have a lot of them (until the cull next month - money-saving see

). They must be minted seeing as how it went live in December last year. That's a lot of consultation and a lot of cash.
