Hi! today i will show you my actual wip.
At the beginning i believed that the mini was no working for me. But now, i see the potential, and i like it!

Always prime in two colours. All in black, and from the light spot, white.
Later a base of elysian green, very diluated.
This are the first 2 lights.
After some shadow work..

what do you think? i accept suggestions ^^
Soon this will be on ebay auction.

Looks like a very clean start to the mini (which is a personal favourite of mine). Nice smooth transitions so far and no sharp jumps in contrast and already the use of colour contrast is just right in the choice of red with green. Yes a very good start this is one wip I will be watching.

Wow. I really like those muted tones. I struggle to keep mine like that and will be watching this with great interest.

Well, firts using airbrush for the general green tone. I use all desaturated colours, except on the shadows. This way you can obtain 4 types of contrast. By color, saturation, complementary and temperature.

base: english uniform (vallejo model color)
1 light: elysian green (citadel)
2 light: ogryn camo (citadel)
3 light: pale greyblue (vallejo)
1 shadow: mix of hull red (vallejo) and sunset purple(scale 75)
2 shadow: getting dark, with more sunset purple.

And for the subdued, i dont do so much glazing, just a couple of layers, more diluated than usual. Keep in mind that the darkest colours are more hard to change (tones, light, whatever) so its better be carefull with those, and have fun with highlights.

Thanks! Quite lovely. So it appears i am on the right track. Now I just have to fight my natural urge to brighten it all up...

Well, i do some more elements of this mini.

The chains, coins, boots, shoulder pad and rag.
I think the orange tones of armor are pretty cool and the blue use like shadow, is complementary, so always be cool. What you think? plz tell me your opinion ^^

More detail of rag, chains and boots.

What do you suggest me?

Hey Hey, That is some lovley work. Nice colour choices and aplication, I think you have done well.

Im liking the sombre look of the mini, I have to stop the urge to buy one as I have so many on the way. Must resist. Will be looking forward to the next installment, As Zab said I appreciate the walkthrough on the colours. I dont have much euro style (if any) to my painting.

Great WIP keep it up.

Well, this is the final part of this fantastic miniature. Really funny miniature, trust me.

Don´t be alarmed, the final aspect of the ax is not like that, this is to give a blue base since it is the complement of orange and I think it will be groovy.

With this colours, i change the tone of the axe and desaturated it.

The final aspect of the axe, and the horns.

More work on the profiled, skin and the final aspect.

Some blood splashes, with tamiya clear red x-27, black, and brown, for change the artifical tone of tamiya.

Well the next step is the base, but i don´t have too many photos. Here they are.

Well the next rply will be the finished miniature.
Hope u like it!

Awesome dude, love the base and the tones. I think the exposure is a little high you could try a little less light or camera settings or maybe its the brown background, your WIP pics really are quite different, more greens and reds in the shots.

Great work

Beautiful. You may want to sneak bit of something white in there before you shoot to set the white balance or remove the color cast after. It looks very brown or orange.

Hi guys, today i´ll show you one of the miniatures that i´m doing right now.

This is the unpainted miniature of galapagos miniatures brand. This brand is awesome and have fantastics busts.

First of all after primed, i cover all the bust with a green color for use this as general tone, because i wanna do a ranger/druid.

I use the airbrush (after covering the rest)to do the face base. Here are base and first shadow.

Keep working on the face. Here I take a photo of the colours I use for the face, just in case you wanna know.

The face with pretty highlights and shadows.

Now i do the gabardine/raincoat in greens.

I´m doing a leather gabardine, hope i can do the right finish.

More leather work. I continue with this later.

This are the colours that i use for the base hair and beard.

I let you here a complete process and colours of how i do the beard and hair, always airburshing until now.

if you use blue in some specific shadows parts, the volume of the bear and hair ( or whatever part that you use the blue) will stand out.

Soon the nexts parts, with reds, more leather, nmm...

Hope u like it.
