Satyxis Raiders\' Chain Whips

Anyone have any good ideas how to strengthen or make more secure/solid or avoid breakage on the Satyxis Raiders\' chain whips (Warmachine Cryx)? I\'m building a unit now and they just seem perfectly designed for breakage.

I\'m thinking of not gluing the chains so the figs can be stored as normally as possible, and then before the game I can just stick the chains on temporarily. This would be good for shipping too if I decide to sell them. Has anyone tried something like this?

Yeesh...thats a tough one.

I hate those fiddly parts of minis.

Good luck the only ways I can think would take a while....

If you cut with a knife or saw (carefully) a v shaped groove round the whole component get some thin wire and glue round inside the groove then fill with GS...

Pin at several key oints may help Like at the bends..in the middle of long straights.

If there are any parts of the whips that touch the model glue them at these points for greater stability throughout.

you could try sticking the ends to rocks enemys etc?
