Savage Orc unit

Oooh, my first painted models in ages. Just really chuffed to have finished these off so quickly to be perfectly honest. Done to what I consider a decent gaming standard. Trying some new methods to paint things faster and it seems to have worked. I reckon it took about 8 hours to finish these off.

Feel free to throw forth opinions.

EDIT - Pant's, wrong forum - could a mod move this for me please?

Their not bad actually, very well done tabletop. I think you could have smoothed out the bone a little more, but like I said honestly not too bad for game play.

I really like how you've painted these guys, nice skintone :) Also pretty good for tabletop.
maybe it would be nice if you gave the wood, shield and big stabba thingy, and some stone parts a bit more depth, just my 2 cents ;)

well done!

Yeah, I agree that there are little details that could be done to make the unit pop a bit more and look truly finished. I decided to paint a unit of Boar Boyz instead though. Strength in numbers seems to be my style at the moment. Hopefully the green tide will make up for any lack in total painting refinement.

That's more minis finished in a week than I've done for an absolute age. I'm pretty happy with that! :)

Finishing off my Arachnarok Spider too. That's one hell of a kit.

This damned spider is a fiddly job. I've got to finish off pretty much every element of it. The blue body bits are just about sorted. Bone is only just started. The purple more fleshy bits are just base coated... Damn, The more I look the more I see that needs doing. Thought I was close on this! :(

the light blue on the spider looks good the wood on the savage orks could use some work but very nice job

Like the blue spider touch, just like the real deal.

Thanks for moving the thread. :) Blue spiders are pretty! I'l hopefully have this finished off tonight. About to get stuck into doing the rest of it, and then I'll try and snap some good pictures and get it posted here.

Overall I really like these. I like the style of highlighting generally (has a sort of high-end animation look) but I was left wanting slightly sharper focus on most of the pics. Love the skin colour on the orks.

On the second pic, don't like the colouring of the spider but it's nicely done and his burden looks great. Again, there's what appears to be a focus issue - might have something to do with noise reduction?
