hey CMON...

i've been quiet the last few months...
the move from Oregon to Mexico went smooth, but was a hell of a lot of work...
it's been 2 months of hard work to get the surf shop runnin' well...
everything is sorted, and life is good...

i'm finally back at the painting table this week...
so good to paint again, but it's hard to be away from the action on the beach!!!

Sayulita is a fun little town, full of ex-pats from around the world...
on any given day i speak Italian, French, Spanish, and English, with a little Dutch, Finnish, Greek, Japanese, or Chinese thrown in, depending on who is passing by at the time...

here is a little taste of daily life in Sayulita:

thanks to everyone who is a fan of the shop already, and sent their welcome wishes for our success...

i'll be back soon with some new minis...
it's time to take my game to the next level!!!
now that i have two other successful businesses, i can concentrate on just painting display minis:)...
i'm shooting for that spot in the top 50 artists!!!

cheers

Living the dream, man. Living the dream...

In all seriousness you're my hero right now. I'm thinking about starting up my own candle and soapmaking business, and where you are is looking so very tempting.

What are the taxes and real estate costs like?

I'm in the same boat as Tim on this one (Literally, lets get the F*ck out of here, time's wasting!)
Grats again on making it, like I said, I don't need to hope you're enjoying it =P

thanks guys...
life is good, indeed!!!

@IdofEntity: what are taxes;)...
property is a bit expensive here, compared to some other parts of Mex, 'cause the rich gringos are buying it all...
gringo houses are pricey, but i live the local lifestyle...
a 1 bedroom apartment costs me just under $300us a month, and the shop rent is just under $400us...
with internet and food, i have to bring in about $1000 a month to live comfortably...
1 week's work covers the expenses, and the rest of the month is just gravy... and surfing:)...

beats the hell out of struggling in the so called "First World"...
gimme the "Third World" anyday...
no stress, and a lovely tan;)...

now i just need to paint a little more, but most of us share that little problem...

cheers

I have to say i'm mighty tempted too now. Looks awesome. Talk about living the life man, if one weeks work paid for me to chill for the rest of the month in paradise i'd be so down with that!

yeah, TBS...
it's pretty chill...
sold a board yesterday, and that takes care of a month's rent...
i surf everyday there are waves...
smoke my spliff with some nice reggae bumpin' out the shop all day, flirtin' with girls from all over the world...
not a bad way to spend the day:)...

come visit sometime...

cheers

I'm like the total opposite of this lifestyle, but I am impressed. You look pretty damn happy, which is all one can ask for, right :D
