That was one fast moving storm system! Very surreal to see it rolling in that way.

I love storms...so awesome in their display of power.

Damn nature is cunning, forcing them to fight with their backs to the water hehehehehehehe.

One thing we will never be the master of is nature, by the time we think we have done it the planet will blow just to prove us wrong!

That thing is REALLY haulin' banana's. Magic line that, Shawn!
I would have the STRONG urge to run-hide-cry.

i love storms but i think i would do the same!!
it's one of those where if you saw it in a film, you'd say 'bullshit, they don't move that fast!!'
Until you've been on the top of a Mountain watching a snowstorm approach, I'd agree. (Couldn't get my waterproofs on quick enough!)

If something was going really fast, was big and on the edge of control, my dear old dad used to say that it was 'haulin' banana's'........good ol dad. :l

Gave me goosebumps and reminded me of the Eclipse we had here in 2000. Things like this make you feel really small and I mean small! I am really scared of thunder and lightening so I would have high-tailed it out of there - probably so fast I could've walked on water!! :D

I swear I saw some cowboys chasing a herd of runaway longhorns .... cue Johnny Cash

An old cowboy went riding out one dark and windy day
Upon a ridge he rested as he went along his way
When all at once a mighty herd of red eyed cows he saw
A-plowing through the ragged sky and up the cloudy draw

Their brands were still on fire and their hooves were made of steel
Their horns were black and shiny and their hot breath he could feel
A bolt of fear went through him as they thundered through the sky
For he saw the Riders coming hard and he heard their mournful cry

Yippie yi Ohhhhh
Yippie yi yaaaaay
Ghost Riders in the sky

Their faces gaunt, their eyes were blurred, their shirts all soaked with sweat
He's riding hard to catch that herd, but he ain't caught 'em yet
'Cause they've got to ride forever on that range up in the sky
On horses snorting fire
As they ride on hear their cry

As the riders loped on by him he heard one call his name
If you want to save your soul from Hell a-riding on our range
Then cowboy change your ways today or with us you will ride
Trying to catch the Devil's herd, across these endless skies

Yippie yi Ohhhhh
Yippie yi Yaaaaay

Ghost Riders in the sky
Ghost Riders in the sky
Ghost Riders in the sky

Don't get me wrong, I love Johnny Cash (though he didn't write or originally sing that song), but when I hear that song I think Blues Brothers. The original is still one of my very favorite movies of all time (right behind Ghostbusters 1 as my top choice) with 2000 running right behind that.
