Scenery modeling terrain and primer

Hey - a few quick questons here.

I\'m in the process of making some gaming boards and just general diorama scenery.
Where are some top notch places where I could get --- plasticard (textured, cobbled stone, etc..), foam core sheet, static grass, long grass, general foliage. I would like to get it from one place to save shipping.

Also, when making gaming boards, do people use spray paint often? I was thinking of spraying primer on the board, then spraying brown on the board, and then spraying a grey\\light grey\\white to do terrain highlighting.

finally - throw in your favorite spray primer! I\'ve been using GW black primer for a while, and I tried Dull Cote grey (which sucks!!!!).

and a final finally --- do people seal\\dull cote terrain? It would seem to get thrashed from gaming... is their spray on gloss cote to compliment my spray on dullcote?

I would sugest you not to spray the gaming board because it is much cheaper to use some ordinary house paint for wood, also if your hills and other terrain are from foam or polystyrene it will be mellted.
Of course it is only a sugestion you do whatever you think is the best:beer:

If you\'re going to be buying foam at the Home Despot or Lowes, you want the insulation section - make sure you get the right stuff though - what you want comes in 8 foot by 4 foot sheets, and is either blue or pink in color - and has small bubbles, not the big pills.

You can also find similar material of varying thicknesses at either Hobby Lobby or Michaels - you want the craft styrofoam there - not the floral stuff.

You might also want to check out Ultimate Hobbies in Orange on Katella. I\'ve only been in there once, myself, and wasn\'t really looking for this sort of thing, but it seemed to be a fairly large and decently stocked store.

Edit: Just to be clear, though, Ultimate Hobbies is a model train and R/C car shop. So you can find things like terrain supplies and plasticard and such, but no miniatures or actual gaming stuff. For that, ktooloo already covered your best O.C. options in the other thread.
