Hey gang, haven't been around as much lately. Been having a pretty good run of things IRL, and I still check the boards quite a bit, but haven't posted as much. I've been painting plenty though! Maybe an hour a day before work. Loving it. I thought I'd post this dude, mostly a I think it's a cool fig...

It's from Scibor, a company that seems to have people who either love them or hate them. NO middle gorund it seems! I love em, and I think they've got lots of character. The pic makes the red seem a little flatter then IRL, the final couple of blends of red/bronzed flesh seem to be really toned down, but mostly it's pretty accurate (for better or worse!). Things I tried with this mini...
-Got a tip I really like from Jessica Rich (I think she posts as Brushmistress on a coupel forums?) to try shading red with Orkhide Shade. This is my second attempt and it won't be my last, I really like it! Needs practice though...
-Tried varying some of the sahding colours I use on the face. I used a cool olive green around the hollows on the cheeks and around his eyes to make him look a little more sinister and brooding. I hope, anyway! I need to practice that as well.
So there he is. Feel free to fire away! Much obliged for any crits and votes as always. I'm trying to make it back to internet land a little more regular. I sure would liek to get out there and comment on more mini's. Thanks for looking!
