Score one for the pack rat!!

As many of you know, I\'ve just gotten back into this after a couple years and even then, it was a brief two month stint from about a twelve year hiatus before that. I figured most everything was lost from the time \'before\'.

Well ... gotta love a wife that has been with you since the first move out of California and her packing ability, though not necessarily her labeling.

lol

Wife decided to go through some boxes that have been following us around for some time now, house to house, basement to garage and today she decided to tear into them.

Well, well, well ... lookie what we\'ve got here she says to me. I immediately perk up and skip over.

Paint cans, magnifying pin clips, baggies with miniatures in them and blisters. Oooh sweet heaven. It was like christmas all over.

So now I\'ve got:

::Twenty or so Chaos Warriors from the early eighties.

::Four Elven War Dancers (love the mohawks) from the same time.

::Six Chaos Sorcerers from the early-mid eighties.

::A ton of skeletal bitz along with plastic sprues of Bretonian archers, orcs, elves, heads and weapons for what looks to be the Hero Quest game.

:: A ton of Ral Partha Imports and Grenadier miniatures (mostly dwarves and humans in armor). There are two seriously cool dwarves in the bunch though.

:: A few Shadowrun and Werewolf miniatures. Been a long time since I\'ve seen these. Should be fun - specially the one that looks like a hooker with a machine gun!

::Three cans of Testors Dull Coate (wonder if the stuff is any good still). Two cans of old Citadel Matte Varnish. One can of Gloss Varnish. Two cans of white primer and one can of Black primer (all of which I had but now I don\'t need to buy any time soon.

Top that off, when I got back into painting a few years ago for a brief stint before relocating and all that good jazz, the wife seemed to find a whole collection of Reaper miniatures that I bought when they came out (I knew I had that damn Hydra somewhere) which she convienently packed away with my old stuff.

Huzzah!

(rubbing hands together gleefully)

As if having a ton of minis would prevent anyone to buy even MORE minis. *LOL*
My girlfriend always trys to tell me that I have already ENOUGH minis to paint till my retirement... but I can\'t stop buying even more NEW minis. lol

Heh, I think that Crackpot and Ritual are forgetting that FF\'s wife is TAB Studio. (I am correct, aren\'t I?) I think she knows and understands the craving for the latest lead more than most other wives. My girlfriend tried (and succeeded) clamping down on some new Rackham purchases yesterday... one day, she\'s going to be a mini freak, she just doesn\'t realise it yet.

Bloody nice find there, FF! That\'s an even wider choice for your next mini... now give her a kiss and get to work on the important things.

Oh bugger! I lose myself in all the relationships that go on here, it\'s downright confusing for those of us that are slow-witted. Where\'s the sheepish grin smiley? The worst bit is waiting around for one of them to slap me silly and call me Susan. :D

SUSAN!!!

This is TAB\'s Hubby and yes, it seems that sometimes I am on the side of wondering how much lead we actually need in the house.
Then I come to my senses and ask her to order one extra for me...

thats what i did with my radio controlled R2-D2 from 1977. i played with it once then put it in my closet.

20 years later i go sorting thru things and find it and sold it on eBay for $150. :D

think i also got $50 each for my Mego dolls form star trek. to bad kirk lost his shirt. and the funniest thing i couldnt sell him, and it was more lifelike representation of kirk being shirtless.
only spock, mccoy and scotty sold. :(
