In a recent blog entry, Kurtz talks about painting a mini with Mike from Penny Arcade. From what I can see of the mini, he did a really good job on the shield.

He also mentions getting the mini professionally painted one day. Gentlemen, start your engines

Anyway I\'m surprised it took him this long, with the density of D&D/RPG jokes in his strip I figured he was balls-to-the-wall geek enough to have painted minis of his last four characters, even if he didn\'t share them with the public.

this may be a bit off topic, but robin williams paints minis too, he has come into my gw a few times
