k..so i just finished scratchbuilding my first model (a pink horror) out of super sculptey....it turned out alright...but now i want to make a doom blaster of korn....Its like a 4 barreled basilik..but with more skulls and such and shorter barrels. i Have the idea for the whole tank...but i don\'t know how to make the tank itself. I need some suggestions on making it, keeping in mind that it is a \"super heavy\" tank and should be sized appropriatley Any input on the material for tank building would be appreciated.

Forget sculpy or any other putty\'s. For something like a tank and such with a lot of flat planes, use sheet styrene.

Foam board will work...........it just dents easily and I believe is coated with paper so painting may be a trick. Styrene is still the best. You can get it cheaply at many local stores that sell those - No Trespassing, Beware of Dog, Sorry We\'re Closed signs.

Might consider making the structure out of wood for strength and \'plating\' it with the styrene.

It might be a little pricey, but if you can get hold of a sheet of thin Foamex, it will work great. Its stronger than foamboard and plasticard, but is easy to work with:)
