Sculpting eyes with GS

Hi all. How do you sculpt eyes on a 28mm piece? Do you try doing it at the same time as forming the head or wait till it has cured? And if so what the best method of doing it? Any suggestions really would be great.

Normally when i\'m sculpting the top 1/2 of a head i start with an egg shape, then add a nose, then add two 1/2 balls for eyes, then do the cheecks, then the forhead and then do the eyelids.

i take a blob for the head, and press in for the eye sockets, then take two small hardened balls of green stuff (made the previous day, the size you want your eyeballs) then press them into the sockets. then take two small amounts of putty per eye and make the tob and bottom eyelids. sculpt the rest of head as usual

I have various methods. But I usially sculpt the eyesockets skull like. Let it all harden. Then add a bit of gs in the dent, smooth it. Let it cure a bit... and then \"cut\" in the eye. Usually pushing away where the lower eyelid would be... (so I just have an eyebal and the upper lid most of the time) Usually I resculpt the lower eyelid when doing the cheeks.

A mate of mine uses ball-bearings. ;) Seems like cheating to me, but if you can find bearings of the right size, why not indeed!

Thanks for your advice :) yeah I\'ve browsed some sites and alot of sculptors use baked clay balls for the eyes or glass ones in some cases...but the examples where huge sculpts..about 20cm in height.
