Sculpting fine/wavy hair

Hiya guys, am working on my gd project and am not far from finishing the sculpting but am really struggling to sculpt realistic wind swept hair.

This is the type of effect am lookin to recreate

here is my best practise effort so far, am not unhappy with how it looks but i think it lacks the realism that extra volume and movement would give it

any advice, links or ideas would really help me out :þ

I\'m not sure if I can give you advice that\'ll actually help here - you clearly have the basics of how to do this down already, improvements in results I think are mostly down to experience and developing the right touch with the putty.

One tip that might be useful is to apply the putty whenever you feel you get the best adhesion, do the basic shaping and then leave it alone for a good 15-45 minutes until it\'s much stiffer and more \'waxy\'. It\'s at this stage that I find you can do the best refinements.

The ideal tool or tools for this are going to be very individual; something I\'d be comfortable with you might find unworkable (come to that what I\'d use now I wouldn\'t have been able to handle even last year!) but if you don\'t use one already I would suggest trying a fine-tipped tweezers just here and there to help tease out the tips of some strands/locks.
