OK so this is a blatant gloat, but I just spent half an hour chatting to Mark Harrison about sculpting. He was in the Sydney Battle Bunker along with Gav (who was being slaughtered at warhammer) prior to Oz games day tomorrow.
Apparently it takes anywhere from a few days to a week to do a 28mm mini, longer for the bigger stuff, but as they work to deadlines they sometimes have to rush stuff to make the deadline. It was quite a sight watching Mark answering a stream of questions whilst demonstrating techniques. He made it look so easy when I know from experience how hard it is.
One tip that really stood out was to use clippers to cut off excess green stuff. He made the beginnings of a long booted leg and showed me how to make buckles and said to look at how clothes hang to work out how to do cloth. I can\'t wait to have a go myself, but I\'ve not finished my GD entries yet so I\'ll be spending the night painting.
