Hiyo,
Scratched my idea of selling wargame bases, after alot of concideration and advice from people, just isn't going to be worth it. Turning thought to sculpting of figures, read alot about the process and intend to get stuck in and try when my new corks arrive as curiosity has got the best of me.
I know it will take a ton of practice and hard work which is fine. Ultimately I'd want to cast and sell figures later down the line. I've been scribbling concepts on whatever I could find, backs of envelopes, pc table etc. I've great interest in both fantasy and sci-fi, as I'd like to make money at the end of the day which if either is more saleable do you think?
I'd like to start with 54mm, think this will help alot at the start learning the basics in a bigger scale, I would have thought 28mm would sell better at the end of the day than 54mm, wrong perhaps?
Do you think this is abit late in the day to start? With the bases I accepted that, but would it be the same with actual minis, I'd of thought with minis it would be abit different given the more unique finish depending on the artist, assuming it's appealing to people enough to buy.
Would unique collector pieces sell as well as minis that could be used as substitutes for TT armies, for example a heroic knight collector piece versus a model more suited as an IG sergeant stand in may be more saleable to the masses?
Alas another hairbrain scheme to end my minimal wage misery! Any insight at all is greatly valued. Cheers guys.
