Then it\'s actually even cooler than before ;)

The wings look very rough as I left them that way to try and get an aged stone type look, to match the ancient leathery, rock like skin Mannoroth has in the cinematics of WC3.

@ Cadian
If you want green stuff i think Heresy Miniatures are the best and Ebob Minis make some armatures but they dont make any dwarf ones so you will need to make your own.
Both these companies also use paypal so if you have an account the transactions are nice and easy.

I took your advice, the chainmail was too large, so I went back and redid it with a pin to get smaller holes. Finished up the choker (except the gem) and started her left boot. I\'m going to have to dremel those into shape though, since her heels are so long.

(The head, btw, is from Reaper mini\'s Thora. If you want a \"pissed off psycho chick\" look, buy this mini; The head is easily removed and comes bald, so you can easily use it in conversions)

The base is almost finished, but I got a little cool idea for it, hopefully it comes out looking nice ;)

and mannoroth is done....(time to paint it)

My plan to composite this into a 2d pic won\'t happen. Sadly, I will prob get disqualified fromthe bliz contest 3d category as they are made for CGI models....but oh well. this much work so might as well still enter it.

I just don\'t have time for everything.

I\'ve had to change his weapon (although I think this fits better for him anyways)..not do the fine details on the armour and weapon. I didn\'t like his feet in the WC3 cinematics so kept bulk like tree trunk legs and I made his wings large enough to support his weight.

Also, i added flames from the eyes.

I began painting the base yesterday. DId some washes of blue on it, since the cinematics, the ground appears to have a tint of blue. Will begin the greenlish lighting effects tomorrow prob. His armour really will be added via the chains and thus will not be glued, but will instead stay on the body as real armour, tied via clips on the chains :)

Just wanted to bring this thread back up to Front and centre as a Lot of new people are seeking Sculpting advice and it\'s getting lost further down which is a shame for such a useful thread..

Anyone anything to add????

the helmet\'s wings: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v188/C_Walker/sculpted%20stuff/kommandant004.jpg

any ideas which parts need more work and how to make it better?
