You got the name right, just don\'t appear to be any up at the moment. The name is a brand name and even on US sites it\'s spelled correctly but still try color when you\'re searching, just in case.

If you want to consider buying online have a look here for the various categories they\'re in on Dick Blick - there\'s a related product called a clay shaper too as well as some double-ended types that look like a good idea.

Oh by the way, I would try the grey and black types (firm and extra-firm) for yourself but I think you\'ll agree it\'s difficult to push anything but the softest putties around with the softer ones. You can use the softness to gently smooth surfaces in a way that\'s difficult with a hard tool so if you want one for smoothing then grey or white might be best.

Wouldnt you have to cut it up to make a mould. In that case the tail would be done seperate right? dont know much about moulding myself. Looking good so far.

time to resurrect this thread

here\'s a base i\'ve decided to sculpt. looks better in real life (ie not blurry!). was too busy enjoying myself so i forgot to leave some areas blank to pin any models to! never mind eh?

by the way, it\'s meant to be lots of bones

No prob, just drill some holes for the pins and the flip the base over and fill the bottom in with plaster to keep the wires from moving around on you. Is that a space marine shoulder pad in the middle right?

Like it BTW:D

Ok. First sculpt ever. Just started it tonight. It\'s about 100mm from head to toe (well top to bottom, no head or toe done yet...). Its female obviously (hopefully...). She\'s going to be anime inspired and wearing a kimono. not sure on the pose yet... I know. Should have figured that out before I started but it\'s going to be a christmas gift and I really wanted to get started as soon as possible.

Just done with my scanner really quickly. Would love some feedback.

Well, i\'m an uber slow sculptor, so i\'d say if it\'s you\'re first one and you want it done in time for Christmas, then i\'d get going on the face ASAP. They take me almost as long to sculpt as the rest of the mini. Other than that, it\'s looking good so far, you\'ve got an armature and have started to block out the flesh... just keep on it and knock more and more out each day. Good luck:)
