It seems to be a space marine body, claw armature from iron hands father, and as far as mess of wires and such on the back, well, look at the noise marines and some of the other chaos stuff. Could use Fabius Biles pack and a bit of cutting and greenstuff. The axe can come from a lot of things. The loin cloth is the exact same as an Eldar Dark reapers.

I will look at a bunch of the models. On the point of the back pack, I want it to look likt it was smashed open and the wires are hanging out.

I agree 100%. If they did actually produce miniatures that looked like the art, no one would recognize them.

That could be done with sodder wire, copper wire from a cable wire, with other such types from the local electronics or even hardware store. the smashed look is just greenstuff the back and hook the wires on in.

For the money your willing to spend its way above my standards at the moment. Theres plenty of amazing sculptors on this site (most of which have already been mentioned) Personally I\'d go down the route of using some the the gw existing parts as painting a 100% green would send me into shock....they look soooo nice green. Conversions would still give you a unique mini and it would cost less......please dont paint a fully sculpted green or at least take pics of it beforehand.

ok fine. Maybe I\'ll cast it, but not for sale...maybe. I\'m sure now I don\'t want to paint a full green. Thank you all. I will probably cast the original green and keep it in a trophy case. lol

You could give Roy Hunt a try for the cast. I\'ve seen a cast of his where the whole body (minus arms) is done in a one piece

Trouble is if you cast the green you may damage it through the process....i think anyway. I suppose it depends on how your doing it.

it will also probably make it harder for the sculptor to do... because the ultimate goal must be cast-ability.

I think if you make an RTV mold it won\'t damage the sculpt. You can also ask the sculptor to make sure he makes a solid armature and puts wire in thin parts like swords, chains, ets.

not really, it\'s more a case that the sculpt will have to be multi part and constructed of a suitable material. (check with your mouldmaker what they can accept)

the big glitch in casting is that most of the mouldmakers that I know wouldn\'t touch a figure so close to a GW piece, technically they are profiting from the green, and moulding it confers intent to re-produce so it could get a bit messy. One for yourself is cool but I wouldn\'t condone getting it moulded

If it was a conversion then it would be an even trickier propersition (sp?) due to the inclusion of another companies pieces.

dont get me wrong, I\'m not jumping on some moral high ground, just sugesting that if you were ever intending to cast such a piece, hypothetically speaking, that you should contact the mouldmaker first to get the go ahead for moulding before spending the cash on the sculpt.

I would probably do a piece like this for free, but I would have to charge you $650-$750 for postage ( it\'s a hell of a drive to the nearest post office )

Thanks for the link Mick I\'ve added his website to my favourites.
His Ronin is superb. But I\'m gonna have to hold off on spending the money.
