Sculptor\'s bane?

I was just working on Marek\'s great barbarian he did for Assassin miniatures, and as usual I have converted the figure. I seem to be unable to do many figures without somehow altering them, even if it is just a weapon-swap. My question is - how do sculptors feel when they see their creations changed? If they don\'t like it then I\'m sure I am a prime offender (questionable painting skills aside) lol

Any comments from our many awesome sculptors here?

Yep, I know that feeling all too well...

Well, as one of the foremost sculptors on this site, I felt I had to speak up. Whenever my creations, such as my \"Giant Blob of Putty With Shit Stuck In It\", my \"Elven Ranger As A Giant Blob of Putty\", and my \"Abstract Interpretation Of A Blob Of Putty\", are altered, I get quite peeved, as my true vison has been changed. However, I respect other artist\'s creative licenses, and when the cat horks up a hairball on it, or my mother throws it into the trash, I bite my tongue and look the other way.
The path of an opressed artist is a long-suffering one...

Bah, I\'m high on life. And a bit of crack. :D

We artsy types are very partial to our various escapes.

LOL - good way to start the morning off! If I got my hands on any of those creations they would quickly have \"Giant Blob Of Putty With A Big-A** Axe Stuck In It\" added to the title. lol

there are several ways of converting a mini and some of them arent pleasant for the scupltor, not even for another painter lol now seriously i think i would feel proud of it :)

Personally, I think converting minis is a very important part of the hobby...after-all, it\'s how most sculptors start-out. So I say; \"Brandish your razor-saw and dremel with pride !!! Just watch your fingers!\" :)
