I haven\'t seen this one yet and was just curious if anyone has and what you thought.

Wanted guy didn\'t direct it either. They plastered Tim Burton and Wanted guy\'s (Timur something) names all over the promotion but it was directed by a guy called Shane Acker who made the short the film was based on...

\"From the producers of...\" I hate that.
The producer often has no bearing whatsoever on what the film is like in terms of quality; they\'re there basically to ensure the film gets made, not to actually make it.

I think that\'s grossly overstating it - I stand by what I said, the producer often has no bearing whatsoever on the quality of the film. I can prove this with examples, want some?Originally posted by Avelorn
Well, the producers can and often have an active part of the creative aspects of the movie as well...

It wouldn\'t be induction; it\'s simple evidentiary support of a claim. Using proof of a limited claim in support of a wider claim would be induction I think.Originally posted by Avelorn
Ehrm. you cannot prove your theory with examples as you cannot prove things with induction.
Doesn\'t matter - I said often, not neverOriginally posted by Avelorn
Would you argue from Ackers words that the producers Timor Bekmambetov and Tim Burton had no bearing upon the quality of the film?
I\'m glad you mentioned Bruckheimer, since his involvement is not a guarantee of quality and that supports my premiseOriginally posted by Avelorn
In commercial \"blockbuster\" films the producer can in fact (like in the old days) be very much be the creative leader of the production (Bruckheimer).
The thing is I said they often don\'t have any bearing on the quality of the film, not that they don\'t have any input. To put it in other words, the producer is usually no guarantee of the movie being good.Originally posted by ScottRadom
I think you\'re out to lunch on this one Einion. I usually agree with you, but a Producer is a very real part of the team that builds the movie.
Negatory. No matter how much someone wants to read into it I meant exactly what I said. Nothing less and nothing more, which was the problem - inferring something that was not implied.Originally posted by Avelorn
tbh Einion I think you are twisting you own words around a bit.
That\'s not easily open to misinterpretation!Originally posted by Einion

It\'s awesome if you\'re a fan of that kind of humour. If you\'re not it\'s a mouldering pile of foetid dingoes\' kidneys.Originally posted by ScottRadom
-edit- What the hell\'s wrong with Zoolander! It\'s awesome!
