Well, I never tend to post things like this here for comments and such as the votes usually pour in nicely with a little shoutbox spamming lol

However, this little girl was painted up as Selene for my wife as a surprise Christmas present to go with her Special Edition Underworld DVD...

The mini looks great, but your background is blindingly white. .... on my monitor anyway.

Try using smaller highlights when painting black, as it very easlily turns grey otherwise, also, try gloss varnishing her suit, and if Im not mistaken, her hair\'s black ???

The background is white yes. Blindingly? Well, that is debateable LOL

I would never use gloss varnish on anything except perhaps gory guts in a pool or a green slime LOL! Think also that the highlights for raven black hair are probably best illustrated with a blueish sheen. Superman also had black hair.

Thats such a good mini. The face and hair are awesome, but I think the highlighting on the jumpsuit looks a bit too chalky. It makes me think of a cloth suit instead of the shiny leather one.

But, thats just a minor little quibble....what did you wife think of it? And did you get that Special Edition DVD for her or really for you? I know how us guys operate...LOL

I wasn\'t a huge fan of the movies, but they weren\'t bad actually. The DVD is really for her

Alrighty then.

Here are my thoughts, as best I can gather them.

I think the feel of Selene is off. Her hair should be darker and her skin much more fair ( luminescent if you will).

The outfit does seem rather dusty, but that was such a small portion of the movie I would have liked the sharper crisper details of the wet leather to be exploited.

So with that in mind my friend, I cannot fault your skill. Once again you have pulled off a masterful mini, as I would expect from you, I would not have called her Selene though. I think she is an adequate Selene.

But if were to call her, say Dionne, well then, all I can say is WOW, I need to break mine out now since I am inspired to get her painted up.

I agree with every one about the suit. I like this mini and the pain job. Voted an 8.

Not the smoothest paintjob you\'ve ever done, but definitely has style and thoughtfulness to spare. The last one might be worth more bonus points for the wife than for your average vote, but I think we all know which one is more important

Never was a huge fan of the movie personally. I\'ll happily shift my memories from the movie to this figure when someone mentions Underworld now
