Selling D&D collection? Advice.

Hello all,

I\'ve been amassing a sizeable D&D collection, estimated at about 250 rulebooks, modules, etc. I have two questions:

1. Does anyone know of a reliable buyer of this stuff, where I could get good value?

2. Should I sell it as one collection, or as individual pieces?

Thanks for any help you can give.

for an approximate value.

Try ebay for sales.

As a view to selling, do your reaserch first. Know what it\'s worth, not as a whole but individually.
You might be surprised just how much you could make ;)

If you have friends who go to Gen Con or think you might enjoy going, they run an auction every year where you could probably get a decent price for the reasonably collectible items.

The online store Noble Knight sells used products, and has some information on their buying practices. You probably won\'t get quite as much from a reseller like that as you would auctioning on Ebay or at Gen Con, but you have to consider what your time is worth. To really get your money\'s worth out of Ebay you\'d need to do your research, do lots of little lots, and try to sell the less valuable stuff first or do some buying to get your Ebay feedback rating up, as many people won\'t bid or will bid less on auctions from people with only a small number of ratings.

ebay each piece seperately, you will get far more for it.. rule of thumb there are 1000\'s of potential buyers to buy single items which could bring good prices. On the other hand there are very few who could afford a whole collection at once and the over all price would be lower.

Here\'s what I did with my iPods and iPod pieces (iPod mini\'s are actually fun and easy to fix; now if it would have only paid):

I sold a complete set together, which in my case meant a complete mini. What was weird was that throwing in the box usually brought another $10-$20. How this relates to you would be to sell the things that go well together as a set. For example, the three core books might go as a group. Or an adventure with the miniatures to go with it. Etc.

I also did this with the smaller pieces such as the LCD screens and hard drives. This was with mixed results. Sometimes they\'d sell, sometimes not. After I\'d put everything through the eBay wringer, I put them through again as sets once again, but of the things that didn\'t sell. Like three LCDs together; a set of four hard drives.

Just my advice. Hammer to suit your needs.
