selling on ebay

well I didn\'t know what to do about my painting standard for ebay either until recently. Everyone kept saying to paint it \"good enough for ebay\". The meaning of this statement eluded me though until recently. I was working on a model and I was just tired of looking at it. There are things I could have gone back and repainted to make it look really sweet but I just said, \"eh, good enough for ebay!\" It all suddenly clicked for me. Basically, I painted the piece so that it looks good, it\'s a nicely painted model. But I didn\'t spend hours getting every little detail perfect.
You want something in between show and table top quality. You don\'t want to spend hours and hours on a model if you are only going to get $30 for it you know? So, you will definitely have to compromise with yourself.
Check out Vikinglodge on Ebay. He is the king of ebaying models. You\'ll see he\'s got a distinct style but he also doesn\'t fuss on every single mini he paints.

Make sure it looks good nick my last ebay miniature ( first go at nmm) went for £34 should have seen the smile on my face

Its nice to see people like my painting the 6 miniatures I have sold have gone all over the world still get a buzz thinking of having things I have painted heading across the glob to places I have never been.
It may take me nights or weeks to finish one but I try my best each time and I hope the people that buy from me enjoy the paint job.
Tho my best ebay work would not even come close to Fieldrachy\'s worst ebay miniature, maybe one day but not yet.

I have found that the photo is as important as the mini. Good mini + bad photo = low sale price.
Also, remember that people considering bidding are going to pour over the photo you post. Paint the mini, take a picture, then pour over it yourself first before posting. Any mistakes you see should be fixed, then photograph again.
