Hello all! My latest effort is Selwyn. Any and all comments are welcome. Thanks!

Very nice, the browns look a little grainy, but the green top is nicely done, I had to take a double look before I noticed it. The strung bow is always a nice addition, what did you use? I think that using a pumpkin stem is a great idea. :D I voted and commented on it.

The bowstring is made from some standard sewing thread I nabbed from my wife\'s stash. The pumpkin stem made it very easy to texture the trunk and provide areas to highlight and shade.

Very cool with the pumpkin stem and all.

Ji Nung, Kang Ham? Please translate the Korean, I believe there could be a couple of variant readings. :)

Philo--

I am not Korean, but looked up the words in an English-Korean dictionary. It was a while ago, but they were supposed to mean \"Strength\"(of character, not physical), \"Beauty\", and \"Intelligence\". I hope I didn\'t call Selwyn something more derogatory. lol

Nicely done piece....agreed the strung bow looks great....I\'m dying to try that but I fear the sticky fingers and angry shouting moment that\'s bound to follow! ;) The Pumpkin stem thingy is also cool,it looks (as you say) like a fine texture for painting on and has come out very well! Nice one :D

Bowstrings are a pain

@Broke n English--

Yeah the string took me quite a while. I tried with my daughter\'s hair at first, but that didn\'t work well. My fingers were too clumsy for it, between trying to apply enough tension to get the string taut but not too much to break the hair...was a nice hour of my life I wish I had back lol.

Hrmmmm ... pumpkin stem .... (looking out backyard to mound built yesterday and hoping to get 100lb pumpkins out of here in four months ...). Possibilities.

I like the paint job as well. Hair looks a bit ... grainy, chalky ... both? Rest of it though, great job!

nice work on this one, I agree with most all that\'s been said here, with one more little critique, which is the fletching on the arrows in the quiver look unfinished to me, I know they probably aren\'t but they look like primer in these photos :(

the color choices are very nice though, and the face looks outstanding, look foward to seeing more of your work up here :)
