Senior Moment

I was kinda wanting to save something special for my 500th post, but figured why should I break a tradition? ;)

So, yay! I\'m a Senior Member with this post.

That is all. Nothing to see here... move along, move along.

(On a slightly more serious note, I am actually working on a tweening article. Probably be a bit before it\'s posted, but I really am working on it!)

A drink is a marvelous idea!

Aaah. Yes. So, I was painting a little bit just a while ago, and decided that I should play with metallics again. It\'s been a while since I\'ve used them, so figured it would be worth trying out.

Now, I know a lot of people complain about the Vallejo metallics. But! I just discovered that they work beautifully with the tweening technique! They most definitely don\'t work like other metallics, but since they work with my favored technique, I\'m rather happy. :D

On a side note, I immediately tried some tweening with Reaper metallics, and was very, very glad that I did that on a piece of sprue... lol

So, I may wind up doing a two-part article on tweening: one with regular colors, and one with a focus on metallics.

Ok, enough babbling! Back to painting. Must finish my Chick Challenge entry up tonight!

Oh, and I know what tweening is, I\'m just not gonna tell :D

well at least I think I know what it is...hmmm, I believe if you do a search for it in the forums the explaination should come up.

Well, the article will hopefully explain it. But, in general, it\'s using layering and then glazes between the layers to soften the transitions. I\'ve posted a few times on it, so I am sure a search will pop up a few relevant hits. ;)

@reverend: nope. that\'s not it. ;)
