Sergeant Fon

My first Tale of War miniature and not a bad one. There were a few minor flaws in the sculpt, but overall this was a nice mini to paint. When I painted this I had kind of Imperial guard master sergeant in mind, but I didn't include any IG markings as such. Those camo pants came better than I thought at firsts. It is actually not that easy to greate camo pants that doesn't become too visually incomprehensible :smile-big: (though that would be the desired effect IRL). Actual tiger stripe should most like be more dark brown, but since he is scifi/fantasy soldier, it wasn't such a big deal.

Love the paint but the mini is just wrong to my eye... Anyone with such a fat stomach would not have such well defined muscular arms and to me it makes the mini look a bit silly.

Like I said though, you have painted it brilliantly.

I understand what Squidders is saying, but I work with someone with highly muscular arms an a huge beer gut.
It's not impossible but a combination of McDonalds, John Smiths ales and Bricklaying are the cause in his case.

Photo or it never happened mike.

Please, not in my topic :D We already have one huge beer gut here. I kind of like that figure, because he looks like cartoonish bullying sergeant or something. Maybe he have too visible muscles in his hands, but that is most likely quite intended thing.

It not the muscular arms that are the issue for me. I think the forearm on the side holding the gun is just too long to be in proportion to the upper arm.

That being said, the paint job is fabulous. I really like the dark brooding atmosphere of this mini.
