i paint full time and W+N\'s, raphaels as well as rosemaries last about six months before they lose their fine point (litteraly worn away) after that they are used for juices and base coats.

In which case I probably don\'t take as good care of my brushes as I should. (Which to be honest I don\'t, between them falling to the floor at least once every few days and other \"incidents.\")

My point is though, that they are great brushes! :)

I have one W+N s7, a 000 if i\'m correct (the text on the side is completely gone)

I\'ve had it for about 3 years or so, and it\'s my absolute favourite. I\'ve bought several other brushes since, but they just don\'t hold a point as well.

I should take much better care, i have never actually washed or conditioned is, the only thing i do is rince it in (often dirty) water, or suck on it till i\'ts clean.

the brush cost me about 9.60 euro\'s, but since then, i\'ve spend about 20 euro on other brushes that i just dont use because their not quite as good.

I use them and they are pretty good. They always hold their point which is great. I use a 1, 0, 00, and 000. They come in standard size and miniature size. This refers to the bristle length. The miniature size are half the size of the standard size bristles and work very well for fine detail. I own the sizes mentioned above in but standard and miniature sizes.

A good place to purchase them is www.dickblick.com. You can get them fairly cheap from there.

I have been using the series 7 miniatures for a few months now and have been enjoying them. I go back and forth between these and the Rafael\'s. I use a size 1 for 90% of my painting, a 2 for basecoating larger sculpts and occasionally a 0 or smaller. My advise is to start out with a good quality #1 and add from there as needed.

I\'ve got a few of those - oh bugger, what the hell is this?

I\'ve started color coding them, i just dip the back end into a paint pot...

red for fine, silver for really fine (000 i think, cant read the print...)

i never touch the back end, so the color stays on...
