Serpent-man Anathema

Hi mates,

I'm a newcomer in this forum and I would like to share with you my most ambitious project... yuan-ti anathema miniature
I wanted to sculpt this mini because I don't like the wizard of the coast one.
Honestly I think the illustration that inspired the WoTC mini was absolutely gorgeus but the sculpt was... strange? goofy?

The figure is almost finished, and it's based on the yuan-ti anathema from d&d 3.5.
My goal is to use this figure for my tabletop d&d game, so I will not add any basing, flock or sand.
In the next few days I will add a snake medallion and then I will proceed with priming ang paintng.
Sculpting miniature is just a hobby for me, and I know in this forum there are a lot of professional and talented sculptors and painters, so I ask you all to give me your feedbacks to improve my skills.
Oh, I'm italian, so forgive my grammar...

So, guys what do you think?

thank you so much, rotten_factory!
the figure is 2,8 inches high, included the mdf base. it will be used as a "huge monster". the base is 2,5 inches.
I will post some other pictures when it will be fully painted, side by side with 28mm mini for comparison.

Thanks a lot!

it seems wet becuase it's... wet. I use a protective spray coat that is completely opaque when dry.

That is awesome! I would definitely buy one if it was made available! As a matter of fact, I might be interested in having you recreate this in the future for my Barbaric Splendor line when I do my next Kickstarter.

thanks a lot, mates!
I'm so pleased you like my sclulpt.
for the scales I used a really DIY method, the hollow point of two mechanical pencils of two different sizes.
it was a relly boring process but it made easy to have seamless joints when adding green stuff.
I also used instant mold for the heads duplicates, because my worst flaw is to keep the same size in various identical parts.
thank you so much!!
