thought i would put this one in my gallery after the competition.

managed to get some better shots now my proper lamp is working again.
i also have put up slightly larger pics than normal as some people wanted to see bigger pics of this one.

comments and critisism are more than welcome. :)

Sorry...I can give no critcisms....

I really like the color choices. The purplish gloves and the green eyes really make the rest of the drab scheme pop.

The eyes really look like glowing lights, very subtle use of osl.

Also, the starkness of the base adds to the overall scene.

I gave it a 4.

Well if criticism is needed I think it has to be directed at the image compression. It is stopping me from getting a good look at what seems to be a very decent paint job. The colour and tone on the back of his cloak are my favourite bits.

Excellent painting, I\'m not a great fan of Rackham ( hides his head in shame ) but I like your painting skills, any tips gratefully recieved. :D

i use a lot of washes and feathering which are some of the techniques i have picked up off spacemunkie. (he\'s damn good with those washes)

a lot of the recipies are robbed from cheeba. a lot of his pics in his galleries have the recipies written down for everyone to use.

and poupe canoupes (i know i will have spelt it wrong) gallery is quite nice for ideas as well.

then every month or so i get together with dragonsreach and we run ideas by each other and have a look what each other has been working on. (the amount of character mike can put into a minis face is waaaay cool)

Yes spacemunkie\'s work recently has been awesome. Thanks for the reply, I\'ll have a look and see what I can discover.

P.S. I got the dark elf witch :D

My second choice in the \'best painter in the World\' and it may well have been first but for the picture quality... hard to find fault, the muted colours are wonderfully blended and the freehand precise.. i still think the image is unsharp but i empathise with this problem, one which i can\'t resolve without a new lens... something about this hobby makes me an anally retentive perfectionist;)
