For two simple reasons. 1) The 32 bit won\'t recognise all my RAM and won\'t make a decent stab at utilising my sytem. 2) The upgrade system is a one-for-one deal:

What are the \"equivalent\" Windows 7 products for Windows Vista?

Windows Vista Home Premium -> Windows 7 Home Premium
Windows Vista Business -> Windows 7 Professional
Windows Vista Ultimate -> Windows 7 Ultimate.
This counts for both 32 and 64 bit, and also for language too. You only get what you orginally bought.

Question: What are the problems you\'ve found with Vista 64 that have made you so annoyed with it, and why are you ragging on me for making what was a (primarily) economic decision?

Good for you. Must save you a lot of money.

Incidentally, you surfing using your beloved Amiga?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amiga_Internet_and_communications_software

it would be possible lol

geez calm down you lot was just saying that p.c. gaming is nuts considering how much it works out to on a per game basis

and yes i\'m more than aware that a p.c. does more than play games lol

no need to take things personally oh and if you want to avoid controllers there are mods for most consoles to allow the use of a mouse and keyboard too

and yes consoles have ruined some p.c. games i still don\'t fancy paying over the odds every few years to soup up a p.c. just to play a handful of good games when a cheaper p.c. can do everything but the games and the consoles make up where the p.c. left off

as for the fun of games decreasing after the 16 bit era no its not an isolated opinion much we\'re the people that aren\'t buying annual updates of crap games just for improved visuals, a few extra levels and improved online play we instead hunt down choice titles that have expanded on other realms of gameplay instead of visuals like the nippon ichi games

still each to their own

Normal advice would be don\'t install an MS OS until SP1 but the engineers at work have been pleased with the Win7 RCs so far & are using them. Advice for home users seems to be if you\'re using XP upgrade when ready & don\'t panic about having to buy loads of new hardware, Vista get rid of asap & Win7 will show you what that expensive bit of kit can do. Assuming you want to follow the MS path. B.
