\"bluffing\" ? I don\'t think so. Cheating maybe - but not bluffing.

VERY nice. Skin is to \"alive\" for a vampire, but I would imagine that she would use make up (Like most females).

You never know with a vampire :)
Thanks for your comments. The thing is, I didn\'t want to give a miniature full of character like Marianna a dead look. She\'s still pale, but I think she looks better with makeup :)

great stuff Margo...

I absolutely love the face. Very lifelike (or undeadlike, whichever is more appropriate)

The cleavage is very nice also.lollol

The dress, especially on the back is very well blended and shaded.

Keep \'em coming!!:D

Beautiful...

Beautiful work Margo! I can\'t believe how you can make the skin glow with life like that.

I also remember reading in at least one vampire series where the vampires were flushed and full of life, right after they had fed.... so you can say she\'s just a well fed vamp... lol

Cheers,
Scott

Very nice Margo, spookily enough I have just posted a link to Jen Haley\'s version of this figure on one of the other threads.

Now my love is torn between your version and Jen Haley\'s both very well deserving paint jobs which means I must get around to painting my one up, of course it will be nowhere near as good.:D

Outstanding Margo, the skin is great and I love the colors.

If there was any one thing that I would point out, is perhaps the hair should get just a touch darker at the roots around the face to better define her, the skin tone and hair tone are very similar. But that\'s just me being overly picky!

Outstanding work.

Amazing work Margo! I was so close to ordering her from GW myself jus tthe otehr day, and now I really regret I didn\'t...

The red and blue looks amazing, very deep and rich, and the skintones are also very very good. I agree with Eric though, I would like a darklining between the hair and the face, but that\'s just a minor thing.

Oh, and the NMM is beautiful as well. I voted and left a comment :)

Thanks for the comments!

Astonia, Eric, I guess you\'re right, the hair darker at the roots would define the face better.

War Griffon, I love Haley\'s version of Marianna! In fact, and you might have noticed that, what she did with Marianna\'s hair inspired me and I decided to add some ornaents (feathers in my case) to her hairstyle.

And yes, from now on, she\'s cheating :) Thanks for pointing that out; I\'m not a keen card player (except for canasta!), so I\'m not profficient in terminology ;)

Weird thing about this submision, though. In my account its status is at \"waiting\", not \"active\", and yet somehow people see it, vote and leave comments. Anyone knows why\'s that so?

You can link directly to the pic in the forums, like you have done here, without it being officially active, but it won\'t show up when you browse the site.

Apparently, it does somehow show up -- it\'s got more than 200 views, which can\'t come only from the direct link I\'ve posted here. That\'s what\'s confusing me.

No, it\'s not! :) If the status was \"active\", the submission would be sitting in the Top 10/7 :innocent:

Yeah, I noticed. How sad :(
On the plus side, though, you\'re over the magic 50 votes and the algorythm should kick in and help stabilize your score and minimize any further (the \"s\" word)

Yeah, that would be very nice of the algorythm ;) As for the

, oh well, that\'s something we can only whine about :)

I just have to know- how did you paint the red? It looks much deeper then anything I ever tried to paint myself...???

I mixed the blood red with dark flesh and scorched brown for the first layer, and then proceeded with blood red and blazing orange for highlights. To make the reds really stand out and look bright, use brown for the darker areas, not scab red, which is rather dull and purplish.
